Linden (Tilia) is a genus of trees that includes about 40 species. It is distributed in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere - Europe, Asia and eastern North America. Some species are wild. The lindens reach a height of 20 to 40 meters, and their leaves are heart-shaped. They grow well in moist and shady places. The flowers look like small umbrellas with a yellowish color, have a strong aroma and are used to make tea. Lime blossom has disinfectant, anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects.

Linden tea is used in acute catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, laryngitis, tracheobronchitis and other temperature conditions. The tea has a mild diuretic and is suitable for urinary tract diseases. Infusion and decoction of linden are applied externally for gargling in diseases of the throat and oral cavity, and only the decoction is suitable for external use for burns, skin rashes, joint pain, inflamed hemorrhoids.
